Dr. Samuel Lievano (Retired)

Dr. Lievano came to Washington, D.C. in 1987 to attend Georgetown University School of Dentistry, where he received postgraduate education in Occlusion and Restorative Dentistry. Prior to coming to Washington, he completed his undergraduate studies at the Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia.

Dr. Lievano was born in Colombia, South America, and grew up in both Colombia and the U.S.  Growing up bilingual is one of the things he is most grateful for.

He was in private practice since completion of his postgraduate studies in

1989 and, for 30 years, he enjoyed providing the best possible care and

environment for his patients.

After so many years of hard work and dedication to his patients, Dr. Lievano retired and moved out of the DMV area. He is enjoying his well-deserved retirement in the company of his family. Upon his retirement, he entrusted his years of effort and devotion to his dental practice to Dr. Avila-Gnau, who works every day to carry on his tradition of unparalleled care for his loyal patients and the continuous improvement of their health and happiness.
